Religious Education Notes - The 2009-2010 Catechetical year is underway with 250 children enrolled in the program.  We extend our gratitude to those men and women of the parish who have generously donated their time and talents to serve as catechists.

CATECHISTS LEAD OTHERS TO ENCOUNTER THE LIVING CHRIST
Catechists, as ministers and doers of the word, provide a distinct and special ministry in the church. The catechism of the catholic church asserts, “catechesis is intimately bound up with the whole of the church’s life….her/his inner growth and correspondence with God’s plan depend essentially on catechesis’. (citing John Paul II). There is a profound dignity to this ministry of teaching in the name of the church; no other ministry compares to it. 

Religious Education News - The 2009-2010 Catechetical year is underway with 250 children enrolled in the program. We extend our gratitude to those men and women of the parish who have generously donated their time and talents to serve as catechists. The religious education program is in need of class aides. For more information about this role, please call Sr. Claudette at 201-823-0184.
