Catholic League’s PETITION in support of lighting the Empire State Building in honor of Mother Teresa. -  In a world exploding with so much hate the owners of the Empire State Building refused the opportunity to do good by honoring Mother Teresa.  A simple gesture that's so much needed in today's troubled world.
Save the Date! - The annual fundraiser luau to benefit our parish will be held on Saturday, October 2. Details to follow.

Our Sacraments
Baptism:
For Catholics, the Sacrament of Baptism is the first step (the entrance door) in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.  We believe in baptizing our children as infants to introduce them into our faith as their first step towards their discipleship to serve our Lord.

We believe that all our children should be allowed to come into our faith thru this entry door of the sacrament of Baptism.  In our Church Baptisms are celebrated on the 4th Sunday of each month.  It takes place during the 12:00 Noon Mass in the Church.  Parents must attend our required Baptismal Preparation class prior to the Baptism of their children. Classes are held on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 1:30 PM in the James Egan Room, first floor of the school (enter through lot).  To be a Godparent you must be registered in a Catholic Church for at least 3 months and be a practicing Catholic. This means that your name is on file with the parish office to receive the envelopes and that you attend Mass regularly.
Reconciliation:
Saturday 4:00PM to 4:45PM - The Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as the Sacrament of Penance, or Penance and Reconciliation) has three elements: conversion, confession and celebration. In it we find God's unconditional forgiveness, and as a result we are called to forgive others.
Eucharist:
Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God - see our mass schedule above to celebrate the Eucharist - The order of the Mass and Guidelines for Receiving Holy Communion
Confirmation: Confirmation is a Catholic sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. Like Baptism and Eucharist, it is a Sacrament of Initiation for Catholics and a Sacrament of faith in God's fidelity to us. To be a Godparent you must meet the same requirements as the Baptism requirements above.
Marriage:
The Sacrament of Matrimony requires an extensive period of preparation. Contact the rectory one year prior to the wedding date - For Catholics, the Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to this other person. It is also a public statement about God: the loving union of husband and wife speaks of family values and also God's values.
Holy Orders: In the Sacrament of Holy Orders, or Ordination, the priest being ordained vows to lead other Catholics by bringing them the sacraments (especially the Eucharist), by proclaiming the Gospel, and by providing other means to holiness.
Anointing of the Sick: The Catholic sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.
